Mormon Apostates: The Short List
15 ¶Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
There is no dissension within the general leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are no schisms between those with the authority to lead and teach this growing, fruitful worldwide church. But within the hearts of some members of the LDS Church, (Mormon), there is a separation of their opinions and activities from the Word of God. Those who abandon the precepts and doctrines and who rebel against those in authority to guide the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are known as apostates, and tragically, their numbers are growing. Following is a short list of known associations, and social media accounts of such Mormon apostates.
Mormon Democrats: This twitter account is devoted to smearing Christianity and Christians of all denominations. Looking like a shill account for the Left, it’s likely that the adoption of the “Mormon” title by the manager of this account may be to stir controversy and attract disgruntled apostates and Mormon-bashers.
LDS Dems: A near mirror image of Mormon Democrats, this Twitter account is a secular leftist platform garnished with flecks of religious charity and other such window dressing. It stands for “charity” from the Socialist worldview, not from the doctrine of Christ.
Mormons for Obama: Mormons for Obama (the horror, the HORROR) is another cookie-cutter Socialist Twitter account promoting leftist doctrine disguised as “good works” and kindness. The website is slick, so beware. Apostates are wolves in sheeps’ clothing, and the clothing can look fleecy and inviting.
Mormon Press: A gay, liberal advocacy website, Mormon Press carries a deceptive title. Beware. Be wise. Homosexuality is condemned by God and those living active homosexual lifestyles who promote the LGBT cause are apostates.
The Exponent: This website is the type of “scripture mingled with the philosophies of men” about which members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints are so often warned. Expounding ‘feminism,’ this apostate website blends gay advocacy, feminist theory, progressivism commentary, and leftist activism with official materials produced by the LDS Church.
Life is Pride: This is a commercial website geared to homosexual, bisexual, and/or gender-confused Mormon apostates. It has a small Facebook following, and its retail webpage sells materials clearly geared to apostate or disgruntled Mormons. Stealing the “CTR” logo (Choose the Right) and replacing it with “CTL” (choose to love) is likely designed to deceive members of the Church who suffer themselves from same-sex attraction or who are aligned with homosexual family members or gay advocacy groups who seek to pressure the leaders of the LDS Church into taking a political position contrary to the Word of God.
Young Mormon Feminists: Sigh…yet another front for gay advocacy wearing the Mormon title and mixing official LDS practices with progressive doctrines, homosexual lifestyle commentary, and musings from a disgruntled few.
MormonFeminist.org: Copying the official “I’m a Mormon” format, this website comprises a gentle nudging away from Faith in Jesus Christ, toward faith in feminist politics. The true doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that men and women are to be equal partners in marriage, and are in fact, born equal in the sight of God, their differing roles of equal and critical importance. Keeping that in mind, the Mormon Feminist movement is not theological but is political, and designed to engender doubts in the minds of Mormon women. The less obvious apostate associations are often the most dangerous.
Feminist Mormon Housewives: With the subtitle “Angry activists with babies to feed” this group is particularly repugnant, having adopted the false narratives of “white privilege” and “innate white bigotry” to appease their boredom, liberal guilt, or both.
FEMWOC: Feminist Mormon Women of Color appears to be a branch of the Marxist-driven “Black Lives Matter” movement. It is sadly, just another political front group abusing the term “Mormon women.”
AskMormonGirl.com: Another propaganda outlet for disgruntled, gay advocacy, political feminist, gender-confused, Mormon apostates.
Affirmation: This relatively-large apostate group is centered on political activism and social-engineering with the goal of altering the Word of God to fit their goal of complete homosexual, LGBT, inclusion into the Mormon Church. Go to the Affirmation.org website and you will see posts about “LGBT members,” etc, which appears to refer to members of the Mormon church who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or gender-confused. Make no mistake, persons engaging in any or all of these lifestyles are apostates and have voluntarily estranged themselves from the Church. Like all other apostate groups and movements, Affirmation is a political propaganda tool driven by leftist ideology, and preying upon those individuals and families struggling with the challenges that come with same-sex attraction.
Mormons Building Bridges: Another version of Affirmation, this apostate groups appears to have hooked in many “faithful” and active members of the Mormon Church. Geared toward public activism, parades, and other demonstrations of solidarity with the LGBTQ community, any currently faithful LDS member associated with this group, if not already estranged from the true doctrine of Jesus Christ, is on the fast track to apostasy.
This is the short list. There will be more apostate groups about which I will war you. But the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, is unmistakable. Please read the Proclamation to the World on the Family, below. It’s clear the Lord will not alter His commandments or His Doctrines to accommodate transient social fads or political movements. Do not be deceived; any and all groups or individuals in or out of the Mormon Church who stand in opposition to its true, scriptural doctrines, can only be called “apostates.”
WE, THE FIRST PRESIDENCY and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
ALL HUMAN BEINGS—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.
IN THE PREMORTAL REALM, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.
THE FIRST COMMANDMENT that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.
WE DECLARE the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sanctity of life and of its importance in God’s eternal plan.
HUSBAND AND WIFE have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. “Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalm 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives—mothers and fathers—will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.
THE FAMILY is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed.
WE WARN that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.
WE CALL UPON responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.
