Authentic faith in the God of Creation requires bold action. It is not an unseemly or immoral thing to stand fast and hard against the evils of our time-the closing hours of the latter-days. It is God who spurs the principled impulse to withstand the lies that threaten our families, our freedom, and faith itself.
Many Christians have become hobbled by their faith. Dependence upon God, for some, has become a co-dependence of inaction. Such refuse to act in response to real or perceived evil, first, because they worry that if they do something bold themselves it reveals a lack of faith in God who will provide.
I love best, of all of the LOTR characters, Gandalf, who, while bellowing “You shall not pass!”, bars the evil Balrog from its deadly course in the corridors of Moria.
We are replicating that elemental struggle between darkness and light that first occurred before the world began.
